Before You Dive In: A Few Things to Know About Therme Amadé
Therme Amadé isn’t quite like your average swimming pool — and we think that’s exactly what makes it special. To keep the water clean, the atmosphere relaxed, and every guest’s privacy respected, we ask everyone — first-timers and regulars alike — to know these house rules before they arrive.
👕 No street clothes, no street shoes in the water areas Please change into swimwear before entering the pool and sauna areas, and leave street shoes at the entrance or in the lockers. This isn’t about fashion — it’s about hygiene. Street shoes carry outside dirt that street clothes weren’t designed for pool chemistry, and everyone’s comfort depends on the water staying clean.
🍽️ Outside food & drink: small snacks only We know a day at the Therme works up an appetite! Small personal snacks are fine, but please don’t bring in large meals, picnics, or your own drinks in bulk — our restaurants and bars are part of the experience, and outside catering isn’t permitted. Think “a granola bar,” not “a packed cooler.”
📵 No photos or videos — of anyone, ever Therme Amadé is a place to switch off and feel at ease, including in swimwear. Out of respect for every guest’s privacy, photography and filming are not allowed anywhere in the facility — not of yourself, and especially not of other guests. Please leave the cameras and phone cameras in your locker.
🧖 Our saunas are textile-free (no swimwear) This might be the biggest surprise for first-time visitors: in Central European sauna culture, saunas are enjoyed without swimwear, so the Sauna-Area is completely nude area. It’s not about anything other than hygiene and how the sauna is meant to work — towels are used to sit and lie on, and everyone is equally undressed, so there’s no need to feel self-conscious. Sauna is just a small part of the whole thermal spa, so if that’s not for you, no worries, we have our whole bathing area with pools and slides waiting for you.
Please note that the SalzburgerLand Card does not entitle you to use the fast lane. It is considered a regular admission ticket, so you’ll have to use the regular entrance.
